Day 1: New Zealand – – Istanbul
Board your flight bound for Istanbul.
Day 2: Istanbul (D)
Arrive in stunning Istanbul and be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. This evening you’ll enjoy a delicious Welcome Dinner, where you’ll have the chance to meet your Tour Manager and fellow travellers.

Day 3: Istanbul (B)
Today sees the group head out on a morning city tour of Istanbul. Learn about this city’s incredible history and be shown its labyrinth of winding back streets. Make a stop by the picturesque courtyard of the Blue Mosque, before continuing on to to the Hippodrome, an arena that is iconic for its rich history of chariot races and athletic events that occurred during the Roman period. Head to the Topkapi Palace and sensational Spice Market, before enjoying the rest of the day at leisure.
Optional: Half-day Istanbul tour with St.Sophia and Grand Bazaar
Spend the afternoon visiting more of Istanbul’s top attractions. Stop by St. Sophia, the Byzantine Basilica, and continue onto the Grand Bazaar where you can shop for incredible pieces of jewellery, leather and more. Additional cost applies.
Day 4: Istanbul – Canakkale (B, D)
Wake this morning and make your way to the town of Gallipoli, the site of the Ottoman victory against the Allies during World War I. Pay your respects at Anzac Cemetery, a memorial to the casualties of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps that landed on the beach all those years ago. Afterwards, cross the Dardanelles by ferry on your way to the Canakkale province, where you will arrive in the early evening.
Day 5: Troy – Pergamum – Izmir (B, L, D)
Explore the ancient city of Troy this morning, a city made legendary by the Trojan War. Drive to Pergamum, a powerful kingdom during the ancient Hellenistic period, and visit Asklepion, the ancient Roman spa centre. Enjoy lunch in a local village before continuing to Izmir.
Day 6: Izmir (B, D)
Today is yours at leisure. Head out to explore all this port city has to offer, seeing its top attractions and hitting up one of the local cafes to indulge in authentic Turkish coffee.
Optional: Full-day tour of Ephesus
Enjoy a tour of beautiful Ephesus, considered one of the greatest ancient cities in the world. Visit the sights of the House of the Virgin Mary, Basilica of St. John, the Odean and more. Additional cost applies.
Day 7: Izmir – Pamukkale – Antalya (B, D)
Drive to Pamukkale on your way to Antalya. Stop by the Pamukkale hot springs, home to the World Heritage Listed sites of Necropolis and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Arrive in Antalya this evening.
Day 8: Antalya (B, D)
Today is yours to wander the streets of Antalya at your own pace. A popular resort city, Antalya is filled with picturesque beaches, world-class shopping and delicious local cuisine.
Optional: Perge and Aspendos tour
Travel to the ancient Pamphylian city of Perge, before heading to the city of Aspendos. Stop by the Antalya Archaeological Museum and admire incredible ancient relics, dating back over 2,500 years. Additional cost applies.
Day 9: Antalya – Cappadocia (B, D)
Head to Cappadocia today. Stop off at the 13th-cetury Caravanserai of Sultanhan on the way, a large abandoned city and shelter in Cappadocia. Arrive in Nevsehir in the evening.

Be entertained as you watch a traditional dervish performance. Additional cost applies.
Day 10: Cappadocia (B, D)
Today is yours at leisure. A city peppered with underground cities and spectacular landscapes, be sure to head out and explore the beauty of this magical place.
Optional: Half-day Cappadocia tour
Visit the Open Air Museum in Goreme Valley and the Ozkonak Underground city on an in-depth half-day tour of Cappadocia. Additional cost applies.
Optional: Hot Air Ballooning
Set an early alarm and clamber into the basket of a hot air balloon to soar above the Cappadocia landscape as the sun rises. Additional cost applies.
Day 11: Cappadocia – Ankara (B)
Journey to the Turkish capital of Ankara. Today you will have the opportunity to visit the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk, the first president of the Turkish Republic, and the Anatolian Civilisations Museum, located near the ancient Ankara Castle.
Day 12: Ankara – Istanbul (B, D)
This morning you’ll make your way back to Istanbul, where the remainder of the day will be at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your group.
Optional: Istanbul Bosphorus cruise
Cruise the winding straits of Bosphorus, journeying through stunning landscapes and humble fishing villages as you go.
Day 13: Istanbul – – New Zealand (B)
Make your way to the airport to catch your flight homeward bound.
