Day 2: Athens
On arrival in Athens, you’ll be collected and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Athens (B)
It’s your first full day in Greece! Wake this morning to head out on a 3-hour walking tour of the city. You’ll see all the incredible sites of Ancient Greece, from the spectacular National Gardens, to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Acropolis. Within this remarkable complex lies the iconic Parthenon, a temple constructed in 447 BC and dedicated to the goddess Athena Parthenos. Other top attractions you’ll visit today include the Observatory, the Democracy Pnyx Hill and the Odeion of Herodus Atticus.
Day 4: Athens – – Naxos (B)
Today sees you head for the first and largest of 3 Greek Islands that you’ll visit on this Best of Greece adventure. Rise early to head to Peiraias Port where you’ll catch the ferry across to gorgeous Naxos. Check-in to your hotel, before enjoying the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 5: Naxos (B)
Head out to explore the Small Cyclades of Greece this morning on-board a traditional boat! Visiting Hraklia and Koufonisi this morning, you’ll feel as though you’ve discovered paradise as you admire the unspoiled beauty and crystal-blue waters of these stunning islands. Spend the day cruising around these spectacular isles, taking in the warmth of the gorgeous Mediterranean sun.
Day 6: Naxos (B)
Today is yours to do as little or as much as you like. Head into Kora, the main town on the island, to indulge in some delicious local eats, or perhaps head to one of the many beaches to spend your day bathing on the sand or swimming in the turquoise-blue waters.
Day 7: Naxos – – Mykonos (B)
Next stop, Mykonos. Head to Naxos Harbour this morning to catch your ferry this popular isle. On arrival, be transferred to your hotel before enjoying the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 8: Mykonos (B)
Rise this morning to head out on a half-day tour of the island of Delos. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Delos is said to be the mythical birthplace of twin gods Apollo and Artemis. Visit the impressive amphitheatre and admire the iconic Lion statues, before continuing on to the Archeological Museum. This in-depth half-day tour will truly give you a new found appreciation of the beauty and culture of the ancient Greek civilisation.
Day 9: Mykonos – – Santorini (B)
Next on the agenda is beautiful Santorini. Transfer to Mykonos Harbour where you’ll catch a ferry across to the island. On arrival be transferred to your hotel, before spending the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 10: Santorini (B)
Today sees you become a wine connoisseur as you head for a wine tour through some of Santorini’s most popular wineries. Learn about the award-winning volcanic wines as you taste of 12 different indigenous wines and local snacks. Be sure to listen out for some of the islands top wine-making secrets while you appreciate the succulent flavours of each drop!
Day 11: Santorini (B)
Today is yours to do as little or as much as you like. Perhaps head in to the main villages of Fira and Oia, and capture that iconic photo of the white-washed houses that line themselves along the spectacular cliff face.
Day 12: Santorini – – Athens (B)
It’s time to head back to Athens as you start to wrap up your epic Greece adventure. Check-in to your hotel in Athens, before enjoying your last night in Greece. Be sure to check off those last minute attractions you couldn’t fit in at the start of the trip!
Day 13: Athens – – New Zealand (B)
Say goodbye to Greece this morning as you board your flight back to New Zealand.
