Spend 3 nights discovering all the city has to offer. Independent exploration is the perfect opportunity for uncovering the charms of the city, from the sprawling green lawns of Stanley Park, to the vibrant stalls at Public Market and the whistles of the Steam Clock in Gastown.

Move from Vancouver to Jasper onboard a VIA Rail train. Settle into your sleeper berth as the train travels through some of Canada’s most striking countryscapes including Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. You’ll enjoy a delicious dinner on-board before arriving in Jasper the following morning, where you can take a day of independent sightseeing. You may wish to quietly stroll it’s streets or sample its winter fare. An early morning departure takes you along the world-famous Icefields Parkway to the alpine resort town of Lake Louise. On the journey, you’ll gaze in awe at the towering frozen waterfalls and majestic peaks covered in a pristine layer of white snow. A true winter wonderland! Walk around the shores of the ‘Diamond in the Wilderness,’ Lake Louise, and be blown away to see it transformed into one of the world’s most scenic skating rinks.

More free time follows in Banff, you’ll be captivated by its wintry beauty and warm welcome. With easy access to its pristine wilderness and a vibrant history to uncover, there’s much to see and do. Tipping:

If you have enjoyed the knowledge, service and expertise of the local tour guide and driver a tip (while not compulsory) is appropriate towards the end of your trip. While it may not be customary in New Zeealand, tipping is entrenched into many cultures especially within the tourism industry globally. It helps reward and inspire excellent service. The following is provided to assist our guests, but we leave the decision to provide a gratuity entirely at their discretion:

  • Tipping and service charges vary between 10% and 15% for taxis, restaurants and clubs.
  • Hotel and airport porters expect CAD $1 per bag carried.
  • The tour guide: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $6 per person per day.
  • The driver & assistant:  Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $4 per person per day.

On trains, you are free to tip your server in the dining car and the individual responsible for your room or berth in the sleeper car. Do remember, however, that the crew may change several times on long journeys.

Health: Different levels of travel involve varying degrees of activity and we recommend a good level of fitness and health in order to fully experience the package and optional tours purchased, including site-seeing by foot, climbing of stairs and extended day touring. It remains each passenger’s responsibility to inform Webjet Tours of any health or mobility issues that may impact the running of the tour, both for the safety of the passenger concerned and for other travellers in the group.

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all customers purchase Travel Insurance as soon as they make a purchase on our website. Help cover yourself for the unexpected with Webjet Travel Insurance, we highly recommend it. Click here for a quote.
