Your epic adventure begins by catching a flight to bustling Johannesburg, before transferring through to Kruger National Park. Staying in luxury lodge accommodation, you’ll start your day indulging in a delicious breakfast, before heading out to embark on a thrilling open-air game drive. Day 2: Johannesburg – airplane-takeoff– Kruger National Park (D)

On arrival in Johannesburg, board your connecting flight to Nelspruit Airport. Upon arrival at Nelspruit, you will be met by a representative of your lodge and transferred to your luxury accommodation. After check-in, relax and enjoy the rest of the day at  leisure. Later this evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner.

Day 3: Kruger National Park (B, D) lion-icon

Rise early this morning, ready to head out on your first full-day open-air game drive through Kruger National Park. Have your camera at the ready as you keep an eye out for the elusive Big 5: Leopard, Lion, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience, you’ll have the opportunity to get up close to an array of incredible wildlife in their natural habitat on a safari with a local expert guide. The game drive is approximately 6-8 hours. 

Day 4: Kruger National Park (B, L, D)

Today is yours at leisure. Spend the day relaxing at your luxury lodge accommodation, or opt to head out on an optional excursion to Swaziland.

Optional: Swaziland tour. After an early breakfast, you will visit a Swazi Village and gain insight to the Swazi culture and traditions. The tour includes an authentic African lunch, dancing and an opportunity to interact with the local community. Additional cost applies.

Rise early again today for your second full-day open-air game drive through Kruger National Park. Try to spot any of the animals you may have missed on your first safari through the park.

Today is yours to do as little or as much as you like.

Optional: Panoramic tour. Rise early for one of the most scenic tours in South Africa. The tour explores the North Eastern escarpment of the Drakensberg and includes a visit to Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window and Bourkes Potholes, a simply stunning geological phenomenon. Additional cost applies.

Day 7: Kruger National Park (B, D) lion-icon

After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure. Later tonight you will head out on a sunset game drive through the park, and have the opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife you may not have been able to see during the day.

Enjoy one last breakfast, before being transferred to Nelspruit Airport for your onward flight to New Zealand.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the nearby Nelspruit Airport for your flight to stunning Cape Town. On arrival, be met by a local representative for your transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring this incredible city at leisure.

Day 9: Cape Town (B)

Wake this morning to enjoy your first full day in Cape Town, starting with a tour of the gorgeous Cape Peninsula. Head to Cape Point and admire the spectacular panoramic views from above beautiful Cape Town. Stop by the Cape Point Nature Reserve, a sensational park comprising of more that 17,300 acres of vibrant indigenous fauna and flora. Keep a look out for an array of local wildlife that call this place home. Spend time wandering through the magnificent Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, before returning to your hotel.

Day 10: Cape Town (B)

Today see’s you embark on a short guided tour of Afrogem, one of the leading jewellry manufacturers in South Africa. Learn firsthand how the craftsmen work their magic to produce sensational pieces of jewellery from smelted gold and dazzling gems. Next stop is Table Mountain, where you’ll enjoy a cable car ride to the very top where you can admire the views below. Make your way back to the hotel where the rest of the day is yours to do as little or as much as you like.

Day 11: Cape Town (B)

Today is yours at leisure. Spend time relaxing at your hotel, or heading out to discover the hidden gems of Cape Town.

Optional: Franschoek Wineland tour. After breakfast, you will be collected at your hotel for a Wine Tram excursion tour in Franschoek. Indulge in delicious wine tastings, enjoy a cellar tour and grab a bite to eat for lunch. Later that afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel. Additional cost applies.

Day 12: Cape Town (B)

Today is yours to do as little or as much as you like. Why not head out to explore Cape Town’s boutique shops? Or take a stroll along the gorgeous waterfront?

Optional: Robben Island. Enjoy a ferry ride and tour of Robben Island, located just off the coast of Cape Town. The island is well-known for being the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years.

Day 13: Cape Town – airplane-takeoff – New Zealand (B)

Indulge in one last breakfast before heading to the airport ready for you flight back to New Zealand.

Deposit Information: 

  • A deposit of $599 per person is due at the time of purchase in order to secure your date
  • All peak season surcharges, interstate surcharges (if applicable) and single supplements (if applicable) are also due at the time of purchase and will be reflected at the checkout stage
  • Final payment is due 120 days prior to travel. If you book within 120 days of travel, you will be sent an invoice within 7 days for final payment
  • Invoices will be emailed to you in advance and it is your responsibility to ensure payments are made prior to the due date
  • Should payment not be received by the due date, your booking will be cancelled and all prior payments will remain strictly non-refundable 
  • Your tour is subject to availability at the time of your booking. We advise you to book early to avoid disappointment

Groups size: This is a private safari specifically developed for those wanting an intimate travel experience. You will not be travelling as part of a group, however, please be advised that local safari vehicles can fit as many as 9 fellow guests who may accompany you for the game drives.

Hotels & Lodges: The accommodation listed below may be subject to change, but will remain of a similar or higher standard. Any changes remain beyond our control and all efforts are made to communicate these as soon as possible. We endeavour to always book non-smoking rooms however these cannot be guaranteed. Rooms offered are based on a lead in room type and any bedding configuration preferences are on a request basis only.
